Abstract:
»This article examines sexual violence in war as an intentional instrument of domination, focusing on the "marocchinate", the violence committed by French colonial troops in Italy during the Second World War. Through a psychoanalytic reading of trauma, it analyzes how these experiences continue to live within the victims in the form of silence, shame, and fragmented memory, transforming individual pain into a collective wound that was long ignored. The analysis focuses on two literary works, Moravia's La Ciociara and Catallo's Le marocchinate, showing how literature can become a space for the symbolic elaboration of trauma and resistance against historical oblivion.«
